Bringing the essence of Sicily to Australia

For most of us, a delicious drink while on holiday is just that. For Gaetano Malcaus, it was the start of a quest which led to the creation of Messina Imports.

Born in Australia to Sicilian parents, Gaetano grew up with the best of traditional Italian food, drink and entertaining, and with frequent visits to Sicily to connect with the extended family.

One sunny lunchtime in Italy, he tasted the sharp sweetness of a premium Italian cream liqueur. He knew straight away that he’d found something special. Something he wanted to enjoy again and again, not just in Italy but at home in Australia.

To make that happen, Gaetano and his wife Jessica founded Messina Imports. The unmatchable flavour of that artisanal Italian liqueur is now available in Australia. Gaetano and Jessica can enjoy it whenever they want – and so can you!
